HALO Events

HALO offers a number of events throughout the year to raise money, donations, and awareness in support of our mission to prevent chronic homelessness in Racine County. We'd love to see you come to these events and support HALO in whatever way you can. Keep up with us and check back here to see everything that's coming over the next few weeks and months!

  • Point in Time - Racine's count of people experiencing homelessness on the 4th Wednesday of January and July each year.
  • Strike Out Homelessness - A bowling fundraiser event held in February.
  • Empty Bowls  - Enjoy soup and a handcrafted bowl at this annual fundraiser for HALO and the Food Bank in March.
  • Bunco - Have fun playing Bunco while raising funds for HALO.

PAST EVENTS

  • HALO'S 20TH ANNIVERSARY ROARING 20'S JAZZ AGE GALA - November 15, 2024, from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM at THE BRANCH 1501 Washington Ave. This was a "Save the Date" celebration for our 20th year! Guests dressed in their best Roaring 20's attire for a night of jazz and fun to support HALO. More information was provided closer to the event date regarding tickets and sponsorships.   • 2nd Annual Cork and Keg Wine and Beer Tasting - January 24, 2025, at Memorial Hall 72 7th St, Racine, WI. This event ran from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM and featured music, food, and fun! Early bird tickets were available for $50.00 and general admission was $75.00. It was a great night of raising awareness and having FUN for HALO to help us stop homelessness together!

  • HALLOWEEN FUNDRAISER- October 19, 2024 at the Racine Moose Lodge 5530 Middle Road. This is a prepaid event. Use the QR code on flyer or our donation button. When you buy a ticket $15.00 then click credit / debit. Next page will have write a note optional under the amount. Please put this note there paying for 1 ticket @ $15.00 for the HALLOWEEN Event, etc. This way we will know you are purchasing for this event and not a donation. Then fill  out credit card information and contact information. Thank you and sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
  • Home Is Where the Heart Is - May 2021 fundraising event! Community participants built 'homes' for HALO and you can pick your favorite by voting online or in person.

HALO is also grateful to the numerous organizations and groups who have held events where HALO was the fortunate beneficiary. Past events included dining events, picnics, rummage and craft sales, bake sales, concerts, car washes and more. What a wonderful community we live in!
